2.  Fault Detection:

(1) Observe the external damage. The cable and tail sheath are intact without obvious damage.

(2) Instrumental detection revealed that the acoustic lens is bubbling and delaminating. Normal capacitance is 650pf, and the two array elements of the transducer are weak, suggesting replacement.

3. Fault Judgment and Analysis

Long-term use has caused the acoustic lens to bubble and delaminate. Detection revealed weak transducer array elements, resulting in abnormal image display.

Fault handling: Medium repair, repair the acoustic lens, replace the transducer. The image is normal after switching on.

4. Post-repair effect:

5. Probe Maintenance Tips

(1) The ultrasound probe is a valuable component. During use, it must be handled with care and must not be bumped. During transportation and storage, the original manufacturer's probe packaging box or a soft cloth should be used to wrap the transducer.

(2) When installing and removing the probe, the main power of the machine should be turned off first, and then carefully operated.

(3) Avoid contact with organic solvents, otherwise the probe may crack and damage due to contact with organic solvents, but alcohol-based organic solvents can be used. Remember not to use acetone for wiping.

(4) Protect the lens surface. Once the lens surface is damaged, the coupling agent is easy to Enter the probe and damage the piezoelectric crystal. Therefore, sharp objects are not allowed to pierce the lens surface during use.

(5) A non-corrosive coupling agent should be used. The ultrasound coupling agent used has no irritating effect on the skin, is non-oily, because many probe acoustic lenses are easily corroded and damaged by oily substances.
