5. Probe Maintenance Tips
(1) Ultrasonic probes are expensive components. During use, they must be handled with care, and the probe head must not be impacted. During transportation and storage, use the original manufacturer's probe packaging box or wrap the probe head in a soft cloth.
(2) When installing and removing the probe, turn off the main power of the machine first, then carefully operate.
(3) Avoid contact with organic solvents, otherwise the probe may crack and be damaged due to contact with organic solvents. However, alcohol-based organic solvents can be used. Remember not to use acetone for wiping.
(4) Protect the lens surface. Once the lens surface is damaged, the coupling agent easily enters the probe, damaging the piezoelectric crystal. Therefore, sharp objects are not allowed to pierce the lens surface during use.
(5) Use a non-corrosive coupling agent. The ultrasonic coupling agent used has no irritating effect on the skin and is non-oily, because many probes' acoustic lenses are easily corroded and damaged by oily substances.
