(1)Instruments should be handled with care, avoiding friction, collisions, and carrying multiple instruments simultaneously in one hand. Maintain the flexibility of joints and ensure the tips remain closed and sharp for sharp instruments.

(2)Pay attention to the protection of the lens.

(3)After cleaning, when storing the leads, do not stack them. The degree of coiling and bending should be greater than 90 degrees to prevent fiber breakage, affecting the use effect and shortening the service life.

(4)Regularly check all types of forceps, paying attention to the movement of joints and the closing condition of the forceps tips. Apply a special lubricant to the joints.

(5)Sharp instruments should be stored with rubber protective sleeves.

(6)If the sealing rings on the trocar, converter, and rotary cutter are aged or cracked, they should be replaced promptly to prevent gas leakage during surgery and affect the pneumoperitoneum effect.

(7)The valves on the flushing device should be regularly disassembled, cleaned, and oiled to maintain their flexibility.

(8)During the use, cleaning, and maintenance of all instruments, joints should not be forced, tips should not touch hard objects, and small parts of the instruments should not be lost.

(9)Before separating the light source and camera, make sure the main power is turned off before unplugging.

(10)Do not restart the laparoscopic system within 15 minutes after shutdown.

(11)For sterilization of endoscopes, low-temperature or plasma sterilization methods are preferred. If using high-pressure sterilization, the endoscope must be allowed to cool naturally. Avoid cooling with cold water, as this can cause the lens to crack. Currently, soaking sterilization with glutaraldehyde is not recommended, as the liquid at the interface of the mirror surface is difficult to wipe clean after soaking, and steam will be generated during use, affecting the clarity of the mirror surface. Try not to frequently change the sterilization method of the endoscope, as this is beneficial for the seal of the endoscope.

(12)Clean the endoscope and surgical instruments separately. Wipe the lens surface clean in one direction with a wet degreasing cotton ball, then dry it with lens paper. The endoscope body can be wiped clean with a wet soft cloth. Do not use ultrasonic cleaning for the endoscope, and try not to use saline to clean the endoscope, otherwise it is easy to produce rust.
