5. Probe Maintenance

(1)  Handle with care

Ultrasonic probes must be handled with care during use to avoid impacts that could damage the internal chips. When finished using the probe, do not fold or tangle the probe connecting wires.

(2) Probe Plugging and Unplugging

When changing ultrasonic probes in daily use, always turn off the main power. If the main unit is not powered off and is not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystal due to the instantaneous strong current. At the same time, it will accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.

(3) Probe Cleaning and Disinfection

Avoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents or disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, maintenance is important in the actual maintenance process of medical ultrasonic equipment because the effective accuracy of the ultrasonic probe directly affects the efficiency of the ultrasound examination. Regular maintenance should be followed to reduce damage caused by human factors and extend the service life of the ultrasonic probe.
