5. Probe Maintenance

(1)  Handle with care

Ultrasonic probes must be handled with care during use to avoid impact damage to the internal chips. When the probe is not in use, the probe connecting wires should not be bent or tangled.
(2) Probe Plugging and Unplugging
When changing ultrasonic probes in daily applications, be sure to turn off the host power. If the host is not powered off and not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystals due to a momentary surge of current. It will also accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.
(3) Probe Cleaning and Disinfection

Avoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents and disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, maintenance is an important task in the actual maintenance process of medical ultrasonic equipment, because the effective accuracy of the ultrasonic probe directly affects the efficiency of ultrasonic examination. Regular maintenance should be carried out to reduce damage caused by human factors and extend the service life of the ultrasonic probe.
