The doctor using the machine reported an abnormality in the CW function. After starting the machine, switching to the cardiac probe and enabling the CW examination function, and adjusting the CW gain to the maximum, it was confirmed that the CW function malfunctioned specifically as a weak continuous wave spectrum.

The X300 machine has a dedicated CW functional board (RC Daughter Board). A fault in this board will cause the CW function to malfunction. After replacing this board, the same fault still occurs, ruling out the possibility of a fault in this board. Except for the CW examination function, the machine works normally, so the possibility of faults in the TR, BE, and power supply parts can be ruled out. The RC Daughter Board is installed on the RC board. The RC board is the real-time control board at the front end of the X300 machine. In addition to controlling the transmission and reception of ultrasound waves, it is also responsible for performing analog-to-digital conversion of the data received from the TR board, thus converting the echo signal into a digital signal for further processing based on back-end software technology. A fault in the RC board may cause a signal processing fault in a certain examination function, therefore, the RC board may cause the CW function to malfunction.

IV. Detection and Repair

After replacing the RC board, the machine resumed normal operation.
