2. Fault Detection
(1) Observe whether there is any damage to the external parts. The cable at the probe tail sleeve is damaged.

(2) On-machine detection. The detection shows that the sound head lens is damaged, the chip matching layer is deformed, the image is missing, and the sound head is bad.

3. Fault Determination and Analysis
Long-term use has caused wear and tear on the sound head lens and deformation of the chip matching layer. It is recommended to replace the sound head.

4. Fault Handling

Overhaul. Replace the sound head and repair the cable. After reinstallation and on-machine testing, the image is normal.

5. Post-repair Effect

6. Maintenance and Care of the Probe
(1) Handle with care

Ultrasonic probes must be handled with care during use to avoid impact damage to the internal chips. When finished using the probe, the probe connecting wires should not be bent or tangled.

(2) Probe Plugging and Unplugging

In daily application of ultrasound probes, when changing ultrasound probes, the main power must be turned off. If the host is not powered off and not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystal due to the instantaneous high current. At the same time, it will also accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.

(3) Probe Cleaning and Disinfection
Avoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents and disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, the maintenance and care of ultrasound probes are important tasks in the actual maintenance process of medical equipment because the effective accuracy of ultrasound probes directly affects the efficiency of ultrasound examinations. Regular maintenance should be carried out to reduce man-made damage and prolong the service life of ultrasound probes.
