Machine Type:Hitachi abdominal probe
Machine Model:EUP-C715
1. Malfunction Phenomenon
The ultrasound image shows a dark channel
2. Fault Detection
(1) Check for external damage. Cable and ferrule are intact and have no obvious damage.
(2) After replacing the lens for the first time, the image shows a dark channel. After testing the transducer with 160 elements, it was found that elements 1-3, 33-41, and 129-131 are missing, and elements 75-119 are weak, indicating transducer damage.
3. Fault Determination and AnalysisLong-term use has resulted in damage to the cable and ferrule, and serious wear and tear of the transducer. The image shows dark channels. Replacement is recommended.Overhaul. Repair the cable, replace the housing, and replace the transducer. The image is normal after powering on.6. Probe Maintenance Tips
(1) Handle with care
Ultrasound probes must be handled with care during use to prevent impacts from damaging the internal chips. When the probe is not in use, do not bend or knot the probe connecting wires.
(2) Probe Plugging and UnpluggingIn daily applications, when changing ultrasound probes, always turn off the main unit power. If the main unit is not powered off and not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystals due to a momentary strong current. It will also accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.(3) Probe Cleaning and DisinfectionAvoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents and disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, in the actual maintenance process of medical ultrasound equipment, maintenance is an important task, as the effective accuracy of the ultrasound probe directly affects the efficiency of ultrasound examination. Regular maintenance should be carried out to reduce damage caused by human factors and extend the service life of the ultrasound probe.
