Malfunction Phenomenon

The Hitachi Totem color ultrasound machine can boot normally and enter the two-dimensional ultrasound interface, but when using the CFI color Doppler mode (i.e., blood flow mode), the machine displays an error message and cannot be used normally.

Repair Process

The machine boots and enters the two-dimensional ultrasound interface without any abnormalities.

According to the fault report, when the machine uses the CFI color Doppler mode (i.e., blood flow mode), the machine displays an error message and cannot be used for examination and diagnosis.

After clicking OK to close the error message box, pull down the numeric keypad from the control panel, press CTRL+ALT+S, Sign In to the Service Tools permissions, click Error Log Manager, open the log recording hardware errors, and view the error status of the relevant modules in the log.

After viewing the relevant logs, click Diagnostic Tests to enter the machine's self-test mode to perform a self-test. The self-test prompt information indicates that the TRX board has a fault.

Open the machine shell to replace the TRX board and test to troubleshoot and Confirm. The machine circuit board chassis is on the left side of the machine. After opening the machine shell and the metal chassis cover, you can see it. There are a total of 3 TRX boards. The location of the TRX board is shown in the figure.

Since the functions of the 3 TRX boards are the same, the troubleshooting method of replacing and testing one by one is adopted. After replacing the middle TRX board, the machine can normally use CFI, PW, and M modes, etc. Switching to other probes and testing the freezing and measurement functions are all normal, confirming that the fault is caused by this TRX board.

Troubleshooting

After replacing the TRX board, the machine resumes normal use.
