Standard Procedure for Soft Lens Appearance Inspection

1. Confirm the model and serial number (the model is usually marked on the operating handle, S-cover, or light guide plug; the serial number is usually marked on the operating handle, eyepiece, or light guide plug); also confirm whether it is under warranty (soft endoscope minor repairs have no warranty period, except for special reasons, the warranty period is usually six months);

2. Use a magnifying glass to observe the condition of the CCD/image bundle objective lens cover glass, light beam cover glass, and C-cap at the distal end (confirm whether there is any dirt, cracks, or wear on the surface);

3. Observe whether the nozzle at the distal end is deformed, misaligned, or missing;

4. Observe whether the rubber at the bending part has any peeling, discoloration, or other aging phenomena, and whether there is any wear or defects in the rubber;

5. Observe whether the bending tube snakebone is flattened or deformed;

6. Observe whether there are any cracks, indentations, discoloration, corrosion, or wrinkles on the surface of the insertion tube;

7. Observe whether the conical sleeve at the insertion part is in good condition (whether there is any damage or aging relaxation);

8. Observe whether the forceps seat and suction seat are intact (whether there is any wear);

9. Observe whether the operating handle has any deformation or cracks;

10. Observe whether the control buttons have any damage, discoloration, or deformation;

11. Observe whether the eyepiece glass has any cracks or blurring;

12. Observe whether the light guide snake tube has any wrinkles, cracks, indentations, discoloration, or corrosion;

13. Observe whether the conical sleeves at both ends of the light guide snake tube are in good condition (whether there is any damage or aging relaxation);

14. Observe whether the light guide rod in the light guide plug rod is loose;

15. Observe whether the water bottle interface, suction interface, and S-terminal are rusty or deformed;

16. Observe whether the CCD electrical contact points have any oxidation, corrosion, or breakage.
