Cardiac Intervention Artifact: Transesophageal Volume Probe Z6Ms
Finally bought the desired ACUSON SC2000, equipped with the high-end transesophageal volume probe Z6Ms, ultrasound can once again play a major role in the field of cardiac intervention, isn't it exciting to think about?
Don't worry, the transesophageal volume probe is a very precise device that requires our careful care on a daily basis. In order for this good comrade-in-arms to accompany us for a longer time, let's take a look at what matters we need to pay attention to.

TEE Probe Storage
The transesophageal probe is a device that is very sensitive to mechanical impact. The end is particularly sensitive to collisions, scratches, and vibrations. Extra care should be taken during loading, unloading, and storage.
• Do not store in a humid environment
• Do not store in extreme temperatures or direct sunlight
• Do not store on the ultrasound system's probe holder
• Only store in the storage box or hang on a wall-mounted holder after disinfection
• When storing the transesophageal probe, ensure that the brake is engaged, the end is straight, and the cable and tube are not twisted; be sure to use the gray probe end protector to avoid collisions.

TEE Probe Transportation
• Place the probe in a biohazard bag, excluding the control handle
• Place in a safe and convenient container for transport
• The probe box can only be used to store and transport disinfected probes; un-disinfected probesshould notbe placed in the probe box!

TEE Probe Accident Prevention
• Check the probe for cracks or gaps
• Perform electrical safety check
Leakage Test
Conductivity Test
• If the electrical safety test is not passed, Do not use the probe
• Be sure to use a suitable bite block

Solution Conductivity Leakage Current Test Dale800B Tester
• This leakage current tester simulates an ultrasound system
• Pass the leakage current test to ensure that the leakage current is within the acceptable range
• The solution conductivity should be confirmed and then leakage current checked under the following circumstances:
After each strict disinfection procedure
After prolonged periods of non-use
If the probe is damaged, detached, or broken

Probe Disinfection Steps
Step 1: To avoid electric shock and probe damage, be sure to disconnect the probe before cleaning or disinfecting
Step 2: Pre-cleaning before disinfection
• Remove the probe cover and wipe as shown
•Only use approvedcleaning agents and disinfectants
• Use a pre-cleaning agent to remove mucus or bioburden before disinfection
Pre-cleaning before disinfection

•Fill a basin with disinfectant or saline solution and immerse the probe in the basin.
•should notImmerse the control handle or connector in the solution, ensuring the control handle does not fall into the basin.
•should notBeyond the last depth marker of the catheter.
•Use a highly effective disinfectant according to the manufacturer's instructions, immersion time.should notExceeding the time specified in the manufacturer's guidelines.
•Do not use hot steam or ethylene oxide, iodine or iodine-containing solvents, bleach, ethanol or methanol to disinfect or clean the probe.
•The end of the probe is very sensitive to pressure,Be extremely careful when cleaning the end.
•Do not bend the catheter into a curve with a diameter of less than 30.5cm.
•During disinfection, a solution conductivity leakage test can be performed.

Step Four: Cleaning the probe connector housing and cable
• Use a gauze pad dampened with isopropyl alcohol or an approved cleaning agent
• Make sure to keep the probe housing and cable dry
• Gauze/soft cloth wiping or air drying for 30 minutes, do not use hot air

•Do not place the Z6Ms probe in the first probe interface
• Avoid prolonged periods in Live status and/or 4D mode
• Do not apply excessive force to the distal end connection during use; use the bending control to change the deflection
