(1) Temperature, humidity, pressure

The room is best equipped with a wet and dry thermometer.

Temperature limit: 5-40 degrees Celsius when powered on, the optimal operating temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius. -40-55 degrees Celsius when powered off. It is best to equip air conditioning equipment.

Humidity limit: 30%-80% when powered on, 30%-93% when powered off. It is required that instruments are generally not placed on the ground floor. It is best to equip a dehumidifier and dehumidify regularly. Try not to use a wet mop to clean the floor (Pay attention if there is a sink in the room).

Pressure limit: 70-106 KPa when powered on, 50-106 KPa when powered off

(2) Power supply

 Input voltage limit 198V-242V.

It is best to equip a professional high-precision voltage regulator, do not use cheap household voltage regulators, its various indicators cannot meet the requirements, such as instantaneous response time, ripple factor, surge voltage, etc.

The power value of the equipment is generally indicated on the nameplate on the back cover of the instrument. Equip the power of the voltage regulator according to this value multiplied by 1.5-2.5 times.

If you want to equip a UPS power supply, it is best to use an online type, do not use a backup UPS power supply (cheap household type). Some older UPS power supplies do not have voltage regulation function, the output is not a sine wave, it is a square wave, and some equipment is not supported. (Can be directly connected to a 100-watt light bulb to see if there is any flickering)

Voltage regulators have pointer or digital displays, which should be checked frequently to avoid accidents.

(3) Grounding requirements

The functions of grounding are mainly divided into three categories: protective grounding, system grounding, and anti-interference grounding. Protective grounding is to divert the leakage current to the ground, system grounding is that the machine must be grounded to work, and anti-interference grounding is self-explanatory.

The methods of anti-interference grounding mainly include single-point grounding (common ground) and multi-point grounding. Generally, low-frequency electronic equipment uses single-point grounding, and high-frequency electronic equipment uses multi-point grounding methods.

Medical equipment must be properly grounded during use. The ground wire must be in good contact with the ground. It cannot be simply connected to water pipes, heating pipes, or metal doors and windows, because heating pipes are not connected to the ground, the joints of water pipes are coated with insulating paint to seal them, and some water pipes use plastic joints, etc. If the ground wire is connected to it, it will not only fail to achieve the purpose of protection, but will also bring serious interference and increase the safety hazard.

For medical equipment, the grounding resistance should be close to 4Ω, and the smaller the grounding resistance, the smaller the leakage current. The leakage current of the outer casing of general medical equipment must be less than 300uA, the leakage current of catheters or pacemaker electrodes and other in-body instruments should be less than 10uA, and the leakage current of patient lead wires must be less than 50uA. In order to reduce the grounding resistance, the diameter of the ground wire should be thick, and it should not be too long, and the installation of the ground wire should meet the technical requirements.

Operators or engineers should regularly check the grounding condition of various equipment. If poor contact is found, it should be dealt with in time. Low-frequency medical electronic instruments should use common grounding, and high-frequency signal equipment should use multi-point grounding. (Each grounding point is required to dig a pit of more than 1 meter, and bury a copper plate with a length and width of not less than 20cm and a thickness of 0.5cm. Use thick wires to lead out.

If the hospital has unified grounding wires, three-phase plugs, three-phase sockets, and three-phase power strips must be used.

(4) Preventing external interference

There should be no high-power electronic equipment, high-frequency transmitting devices, radiofrequency therapeutic instruments, etc. around the room.

There should be no mobile or Unicom base stations and antennas on the roof.

If there are two or more ultrasound machines, the distance between them should not be too close.

The power supply line of the B-ultrasound room should preferably not share the same line with other large-scale equipment in the hospital.

Units with conditions should shield the entire room when renovating the room.

Anti-static spray should be sprayed on carpets and oilcloths.

 Lay anti-static mats.

Connect a ground wire between the machine and the examination bed.

Common faults and maintenance

(1) The host does not work

It is the same as when it is not turned on, that is, the monitor is black, the keyboard light is not on, the fan does not rotate, and there is no sound. This situation indicates that the host power system has not started. First check the power strip, power cord, fuse, etc.

(2) Monitor black screen

That is, there are phenomena indicating that the host system has started, but there is no display on the monitor. First, adjust the brightness and contrast of the monitor to the maximum (generally clockwise to increase, if you are not sure, adjust it to the middle position). If it does not work, you can use a video printer to print pictures, check whether the workstation can acquire images, or consider connecting an external monitor to see if it is a problem with the monitor.

(3) The monitor flickers

You can adjust the brightness and contrast potentiometer of the monitor to see if there is any change. Some are due to problems with a certain contact point inside the potentiometer, which can be solved by proper adjustment.

(4) Water may have entered the machine

In this situation, you must not turn on the machine by yourself. You must contact the manufacturer's engineer and deal with it under their guidance. (After opening the machine casing and blowing the wet parts with a hair dryer, check it again before turning on the machine)

(5) Error code prompts appear

Be sure to write down all the prompt content, and carefully recall under what circumstances this situation occurred, then turn off and restart to see if it can be solved, and tell the engineer the detailed process. In short, after the machine malfunctions, generally, turn off and restart. If it does not work, contact the engineer. The fault phenomenon must be described clearly, especially some seemingly unimportant details.
