How to run the daily quality assurance program and check the test results

DQA (Daily Quality Assurance) is a method for medical institutions to provide testing, calibration, and tracking for daily image quality assurance of magnetic resonance imaging. It can be run daily before starting patient scans. The maximum calibration cycle is three months, and it is run during preventive maintenance of the equipment, but it must be calibrated after repairs are made to the relevant parts of the magnetic resonance imaging equipment gradient and bed.

The DQA program uses a dedicated DQA water phantom to calibrate the output amplitude of the X/Y/Z three-axis gradients and the position of the laser positioning line in the Z-axis direction to the center of the gradient coil. If there is a problem with DQA calibration, it will cause image artifacts, such as geometric distortion and ghosting, and it will also cause errors in the deviation between the scanning location and the actual lesion location.

The steps for running the daily DQA quality assurance program are as follows:

1. Position and place the dedicated DQA water phantom

2. Execute the DQA program and click to start the scan

3. If the equipment cannot run the program, check if the coil is properly plugged in and if there are any system errors. If there are errors, contact the maintenance center customer service for remote diagnosis. If the run is completed, check if the calibration test results have passed. If not, check if there are any coins or metal foreign objects in the magnet bore. If so, remove them. If not, check for error messages, record or take photos of the error messages, and contact the maintenance center customer service for remote diagnosis, followed by remote or on-site maintenance service.
