Failure Phenomenon

After powering on the Siemens ACUSON S2000 machine, an error message appears, prompting for disk insertion. After startup, interference is present on the ultrasound 2D interface.

Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting

Since the machine prompts for disk insertion after startup but can still Enter the ultrasound 2D interface, it is judged that the machine's system software has a fault. After reinstalling the machine's system software and restarting, the machine no longer prompts for disk insertion, but interference still exists after Entering the ultrasound work interface.

Since the interference phenomenon still exists after switching all probes, and the interference persists after moving the machine to another room and powering it on, the possibility of external interference and probe-induced interference is ruled out. The fault should be caused by an internal board or power supply issue.

In the S2000 machine, the TR board (transmit-receive board) is responsible for generating waveforms and performing analog processing of the echo signals received by the probe. If the TR board fails, it is most likely to cause interference.

The S2000 machine has three TR boards. Since the number of faulty TR boards cannot be determined, troubleshooting can only be done by replacing the TR boards. After replacing the TR board in the TR0 position, the machine no longer shows interference after powering on and Entering the ultrasound 2D interface, and the machine operates normally.
