On-machine detection. The test showed that the transducer chip was broken and sparking, and the casing was filled with hard resin. The casing needs to be disassembled, and the wires need to be re-done.

Long-term use caused the transducer chip to fail and needs to be replaced.

4. Malfunction Handling

Replaced the transducer, casing, and repaired the cable. After reinstallation and testing, the image is normal.

 6. Probe Maintenance

(1)  Handle with Care

Ultrasonic probes must be handled with care during use to avoid impacts that damage the internal chips. When finished using the probe, do not fold or tangle the probe connecting wires.

(2) Probe Plugging and Unplugging

When changing ultrasonic probes in daily applications, always turn off the main power. If the host is not powered off and not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystals due to instantaneous high current. This will also accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.

(3) Probe Cleaning and Disinfection

Avoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents or disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, maintenance is an important task in the actual medical device maintenance process for ultrasonic probes, because the effectiveness and accuracy of the ultrasonic probe directly affect the efficiency of ultrasonic examination.
