2. Malfunction Detection

(1) Observe whether there is any external damage. The cable and tail sheath are intact without obvious damage.

(2) On-machine detection. The test showed that 7 points of the transducer's capacitance were significantly weaker; after disassembling the probe, it was found that the wire was broken, the four-dimensional keel was broken, and the oil sac was damaged and leaking oil.

3. Malfunction Judgment and Analysis

Long-term use has caused wear and tear on the transducer, and damage to internal components. Wire breakage, four-dimensional keel breakage, and oil sac damage.

4. Malfunction Handling

Overhaul. It is not recommended to replace the transducer; repair the four-dimensional drive; replace the oil sac. The image is normal after on-machine testing.

5. Post-Repair Effect

6. Probe Maintenance Tips

(1)  Handle with care

Ultrasonic probes must be handled with care during use to avoid collisions that damage the internal chips of the probe. When the probe is not in use, the probe connecting wires should not be bent or knotted.

(2) Probe Plugging and Unplugging

In daily applications of ultrasonic probes, when changing ultrasonic probes, be sure to turn off the host power. If the host is not powered off and not frozen, directly plugging and unplugging the probe may cause damage to the internal circuit board and crystals of the probe due to a momentary strong current. It will also accelerate the oxidation of the probe plug pins, directly affecting the normal use of the probe.

(3) Probe Cleaning and Disinfection

Avoid contact between the probe socket and disinfectant. If the probe socket is contaminated with cleaning agents and disinfectants, it will directly corrode and accelerate the oxidation of the probe socket pins. In short, in the actual maintenance process of medical ultrasonic equipment, maintenance is an important task, because the effective accuracy of the ultrasonic probe directly affects the efficiency of ultrasonic examination. Regular maintenance should be carried out to reduce damage caused by human factors and extend the service life of the ultrasonic probe.
