Malfunction Phenomenon

After the Mindray DC-8 ultrasound machine is powered on and starts normally, there is no image in the middle of the probe echo area. After multiple probe insertions and restarts, the malfunction remains unchanged, and there are no prompts or error messages.

Malfunction Analysis and Troubleshooting

Based on the malfunction phenomenon and personal maintenance experience, judgment is made using the following methods:

First, the probe is replaced to other slots. If the malfunction phenomenon remains the same, the probe slot malfunction can be ruled out. Then, check if other probes also have missing images. It is found that the middle part of the image of one convex array probe is completely missing, and two parts of the image of a linear array probe are missing. Since the possibility of two probes malfunctioning simultaneously is extremely small, the probe malfunction can basically be ruled out.

Second, contact the manufacturer's engineer for assistance in judgment. Based on the malfunction phenomenon, it may be an image problem caused by the ultrasound transmitting board, ultrasound receiving board, and image signal processing board malfunction.

However, it is difficult to determine which board is causing the malfunction. The self-check function of the ultrasound device can be used for auxiliary detection and judgment. Click the "Maintenance" item in the "Preset" menu, open the "Maintenance" menu, click "Self-check" to perform a system self-check. The self-check reports a signal processing board error. After contacting the manufacturer's engineer to replace the signal processing board, the device recovers to normal.
