How to correctly use an ultrasonic single crystal transducer?

Ultrasonic single crystal transducers are widely used in the field of non-destructive testing. First, single crystal transducers can be used for both flaw detection and thickness measurement. Whether used for flaw detection or thickness measurement, transducers purchased externally need to be connected to the instrument for calibration. If the transducers are from the same manufacturer, calibration can be canceled (provided the consistency of the transducers is good).

The above figure is a structural diagram of an ultrasonic single crystal transducer. The ultrasonic single crystal consists of a connecting terminal, a casing, a filler, a piezoelectric ceramic片, and a protective film. Its working principle is to connect the transducer to a thickness gauge or flaw detector. The instrument sends an excitation signal to the transducer, and the ultrasonic piezoelectric ceramic片 receives the signal and performs mechanical vibration to emit sound waves.
