The image is blurry, discolored, missing, dark, or flickering, indicating a fault in the optical path component.
The optical path component starts from the self-guiding plug, and goes through the guide plug, light beam, light beam glass cover, objective lens glass cover, CCD (image bundle for fiber scope) to the electrical connector (eyepiece for fiber scope).
The image is blurry, discolored, missing, dark, and flickering.

When the image is blurry, discolored, missing, dark, or flickering, the endoscope may have the following problems:
1) Water ingress into the CCD. Water ingress at the tip of the CCD causes blurry images, while water ingress inside the CCD causes discoloration.
2) CCD aging. When the CCD ages, its image acquisition capability is insufficient, and it cannot correctly transmit the required information.
3) CCD disconnection. When the CCD is broken, the image is often flickering or absent.
4) Water ingress into the image bundle. When water enters the fiber optic image bundle, the image acquisition is incorrect, resulting in blurriness, missing parts, darkness, absence of image, image cracking, and rainbow-like image phenomena.
5) Broken fibers in the image bundle. The fiber optic image bundle is composed of orderly arranged fiber bundles. When fibers are broken, black spots often appear in the image. When the black spots are severe, image loss or even absence of image can be seen.
6) Aging of the image bundle. Optical fibers have a certain lifespan. When they age, images often become blurry, dark, absent, or discolored.
7) Water ingress, broken fibers, or aging of the light beam. When the light beam has water ingress, broken fibers, or aging, the image often becomes darker and the colors are unclear. In severe cases, image failure may also occur.
8) Wear, burns, bumps, or rust on the guide plug. The guide plug connects to the light beam. When the guide plug malfunctions, it often cannot connect well with the cold light source or the light beam, resulting in insufficient brightness or absence of image.
9) Damage or soiling of the distal glass cover. The distal glass cover includes the light beam glass cover, the objective lens glass cover, and the protective cover. When the distal glass cover is damaged, image loss, blurriness, darkness, and discoloration are common. In some cases, water ingress into the endoscope can be caused by damage to the distal glass cover.
10) Misalignment of the distal glass cover. The problems caused by the misalignment of the distal glass cover are mainly rainbow-shaped or crescent-shaped images, and in a few cases, blurry or absent images.
11) Rust, dents, missing pins, or poor contact of the electrical connector. The electrical connector is the connecting part between the CCD and the camera host. When the electrical connector has poor contact with the host or the CCD, image loss, color distortion, and button malfunction are common.
12) Damage or misalignment of the eyepiece. When the eyepiece of the fiber scope is damaged or misaligned, blurry, dim, discolored, crescent-shaped, or rainbow-like images often appear.
