Malfunction 1: The diagnostic instrument crashes and displays an error message when using CW continuous Doppler, but all other functions work normally. The error message is: The machine detected an abnormal voltage, please restart the system.
Fault Analysis:
1) The diagnostic instrument's CW can only be used under cardiac conditions; there is no CW function under other conditions, so the CW board may be damaged.
2) When the fault occurs, the CW working voltage measured by the attached power supply box drops significantly, suggesting that the fault may be related to the attached power supply box.
3) This fault may also be caused by CW signal triggering and communication.
4) The cardiac probe (phased array probe) consists of PW and CW; the cardiac probe may be damaged.
Troubleshooting: After replacing the attached power supply box and related PCBs without effect, the cardiac probe was replaced. No crashes occurred within a month, so the problem was solved.
Malfunction 2: After powering on, the diagnostic instrument repeatedly self-checks and cannot Enter the ultrasound system.
Fault Analysis:
1) The operating system may be damaged.
2) The system was not detected after powering on, the main control board may be damaged.
3) Unable to read the operating system files, the hard disk may be damaged.
4) Other factors causing abnormal external power supply will also cause the system to fail to start.
Troubleshooting: After measuring the mains voltage and regulated voltage on-site and finding them normal, reinstalling the operating system failed. Opening the machine revealed that the power-on DISK light was always off. After replacing the hard drive, the fault was resolved.
Malfunction 3: The diagnostic instrument sometimes displays colored stripes in FLOW mode.
Fault Analysis:
1) First, consider whether it is caused by mutual interference between devices.
2) It may be caused by a broken probe.
3) It may be caused by a blood flow board malfunction.
Troubleshooting: The appearance of colored stripes is intermittent. Most phenomena are caused by mutual interference of electromagnetic waves from devices with the same operating frequency. Turning off other working ultrasound machines, if the fault persists and the 2D image is normal, the probe fault can be ruled out. Replacing the color board, no colored stripes appeared in FLOW mode within a month, and the fault was resolved.
Malfunction 4: A beeping sound occurs after the diagnostic instrument is powered on.
Fault Analysis:
1) The audio output speaker is damaged.
2) The audio output board or Doppler board is damaged.
3) Consider possible short circuits, such as a stuck key.
Troubleshooting: The keyboard control area was checked, and a letter key in the numeric keypad area was found to be stuck. After pressing the COMMENT key in the numeric keypad area, this letter kept appearing on the screen. After resetting, the beeping sound disappeared, and the fault was resolved.
Malfunction 5: The diagnostic instrument image shows a layered shadow.
Fault Analysis:
1) The probe for transmitting and receiving signals is damaged.
2) The probe interface board is damaged.
3) The image processing board is damaged.
4) The gain adjustment is damaged.
Troubleshooting: It was found that the same fault occurred when using abdominal, cardiac, and small organ probes. After replacing the probe interface board, the image did not improve. When adjusting the STC gain, the 3rd and 4th adjusters showed no response and gain lag, respectively. After replacing the STC gain, the image returned to normal, and the fault was resolved.
